Mommentary: This is my sympathetic way of suggesting there might be some melodrama involved. It has a Yiddish-English flavor to it. I have no idea where I acquired such a useful phrase, but there’ve been a lot of Jewish people in my life. With this one, I visualize a college friend’s mom who lived in town; I visited them for years after she moved away.
